What are your business hours?

We are open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 5pm. We are closed from 12pm to 1pm daily.

How do I find out what my trade-in is worth?
We have trade valuation tools on our website that can help you find out the value of your trade-in. You can use either Accu-trade or the Kelley Blue Book tool.

Yes, we have the capability to appraise your car online. We have invested in tools that allow us to do this process in making it easier and more convenient for our customers.

Is an online deposit required?

Yes, we require an online security deposit of $500.

How to buy a vehicle online and have it delivered?

To buy a vehicle online, check out our new and used inventory. Once you have selected the vehicle of your choice, click “Calculate Your Payment Online,” and fill out the form for a credit application. We will get in touch with you as soon as we receive your application to start the process. Delivery options will also be discussed during the process.

How to Have Your New Car Delivered to Your Home

Let us know if you want your new car or truck delivered to your home in order that we can make the necessary arrangements. Note that we currently have some conditions/limitations regarding delivery of a new vehicle which we will discuss with you prior to actual delivery.

What happens after I schedule my online car delivery or pickup?

After you schedule your car delivery or pick-up online, we will give you a call to confirm the schedule and let you know what to expect during the process.

How many kilometres will Royal Ford vehicle delivery service cover?

Royal Ford can deliver new or used vehicles at a minimal fee. Please let us know if you’d like to use this service, and we can provide you with a quote. There are some restrictions.

Can I save my online transaction and come back later?

The form saves within the session that you are in on your website visit. In case you bounced off and come back a few days later, you will be requested to re-enter the information again.

How will the Royal Ford be storing or using my information?

Your information will be stored in a password-protected system and used only for the sole purpose of assisting you with any vehicle-related needs you have.

How long does buying a vehicle online usually take?

Similar to buying a vehicle in person at the dealership, buying a vehicle online using financing and lease options take additional time than buying with cash. This is due to the additional steps of doing the credit application review and approval.

Is test driving a car, truck or SUV important?

Test driving a car, truck, or SUV is not mandatory; however, since we believe that it is important, we encourage our customers to take a test drive, especially if they are not sure yet of which vehicle to buy.

What is the difference between Used and Certified Pre-Owned?

Used vehicles are what we call Wholesale Direct Used vehicles that are priced at or below wholesale value. These vehicles come with a mechanical inspection, and you can buy them as traded. If the vehicles need any repair, you can have the repair done by our experienced and well-trained technicians at a discounted price.

Meanwhile, Certified Pre-Owned are vehicles that come with complete mechanical reconditioning. We have two types - Royal Certified and Ford Certified. Ford Certified must go through a 172-point inspection by factory-trained technicians. You get a 12-month or 20,000 km comprehensive warranty and 24-hour roadside assistance. Royal Certified go through a 113-point inspection to make sure that nothing is missed. We also offer the 30-day or 2,500 km powertrain warranty or 30-day comprehensive 50/50 warranty.

Can I buy a vehicle with no credit?

Yes, you can buy a vehicle even if you have no credit. We have assisted customers including new immigrants and students with their first vehicle purchase.

We price our vehicles competitively so that you will not need to negotiate with us.

What tools does Royal Ford offer to help find the right car for me and my budget?

Our non-commission sales process includes a needs assessment where we ask customers some questions to help us understand exactly what vehicle they need and the budget they have. When we have all the information, we look at our inventory and recommend options that meet their needs.

Can I be notified when vehicles I like are added to your inventory?

Right now, this is not possible with our current website set-up. However, you can give us a call and let us know the vehicles that you like, and we can let you know once we have them.

What documentation do I need to buy a vehicle?

We need the following documents - Driver’s License, Void Cheque or Preauthorized Debit form, two most recent paystubs, trade lien information - to prove identity and your income/capacity to pay.

Will the price be lower if I pay cash?

The price is the same for cash or financing; however, the bank with which you finance will charge a PPSA fee that will be included in your payments.

Will Royal Ford deliver my vehicle to me?

Yes, we have home and work delivery options. Let us know and we can tell you more about these options.

Can I reserve a vehicle online until I go see it?

We can hold a vehicle for you for 24 hours, although we do not encourage reservations in order to be fair with other customers.

Do you offer a money-back guarantee?

No, we do not offer a money-back guarantee.

Do you honour a manufacturer's Certified Pre-Owned vehicle program?

Yes, we honour Ford’s Certified Pre-Owned program. When you purchase a Ford Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, you receive a special offer of discounted finance rates from Ford Financial Services which can mean big savings for you.

How long does the vehicle-buying process usually take?

We cannot specify an exact length of time since the vehicle-buying process depends on the buyer. Customers who are already sure of the vehicle they want to buy usually take a shorter time, compared to those who are still looking at different vehicle options. Customers who buy on a cash basis also take a shorter time, compared to those who go for financing or lease because these options require a credit application and approval from our financing partners.

What if I change my mind or don't like the actual vehicle when I test drive it?

If you don’t like the vehicle that you test drive, you can select another vehicle that we have on the lot and take it for a test drive.

How quickly can I take delivery of my new vehicle?

You can take delivery of your new vehicle as soon as we have finalized the paperwork.

What is Routine Vehicle Maintenance?

Routine vehicle maintenance is the preventive maintenance works performed to keep small issues from getting large and expensive. This includes changing your oil and oil filter, checking tires, inspecting all fluids, and examining belts and hoses to ensure that your vehicle remains in safe working condition.

What are the most common vehicle services?

How often do I need to change the oil in my vehicle?

The basic rule is every 8,000 km or 6 months, whichever occurs first. Most recently-manufactured vehicles have an oil reset light on the dashboard notifying you that your vehicle is due for an oil change.

Why is tire rotation so important?

Tire rotation is important to extend the life of your tires and to ensure your safety on the road. When tire rotation is performed at scheduled times, it will preserve balanced handling and traction and also promote even tread wear.

What are the leading causes of battery failure?

Low charge and acid stratification are the most common causes of battery failure.

How do I know when my wiper blades need changing?
As soon as you notice a difference in driving visibility or every six months to a year, wiper blades should be replaced. Wiper blades can begin to squeak, chatter, skip, smear or streak when they no longer make proper contact with the windshield surface.

Is there anything I can do to make my blades last longer?
To make your blades last longer, you can do the following:
(1) Park your car in a place with shade
(2) When it snows, lift your wiper blades
(3) Do not scrape your windshield with the blades down
(4) Clean your wiper blades with washer fluid
(5) Avoid operating your wipers when they are dry

What is the difference between conventional and beam blades?
Conventional or traditional wiper blades are designed with only six to eight contact points while beam wiper blades have an infinite number of pressure points which ensure that the entire length of the wiper blade will remain in contact with the windshield.

Are all wipers designed the same way?

No, wipers are not designed the same way. There are two kinds of blades - the conventional and beam blades.

How do I know when I need new brakes?

To know when you need new brakes, you can do this - look and listen. To check for wear, look at your brake pads through the spaces between the wheel spokes. The outside pad will be pressed against a metal rotor, and there should be at least 6 mm of pad. If the pad is less than 6 mm, then you should have your brake pads inspected or changed. If you regularly hear a high-pitched screeching sound when you apply your brake, then you should make a service appointment.

When should I replace my brake pads?

It is time to change your brake pads when the lining is in the 3 to 4 mm range. Brake pads also incorporate a metal burr that contacts the rotor at 3 mm which causes a squeal that signals that you need to have your brake pads replaced.

How long will brake pads last?

Most brake pads typically last between 50,000 to 115,000 kilometres. The lifespan of brake pads varies depending on a number of factors including the type and composition of the pad as well as driving habits.

How do I know if my vehicle has been included in a recall?

To check if your vehicle has been included in a recall, you can go to our website https://www.royalford.ca/service-and-parts/recall-check.html and enter your information in the form. Our Service Department will check the list and contact you if your vehicle has an outstanding recall.

How often should I get an oil change?

We recommend that you get an oil change every 6 months or every 8,000 kilometres interval.

How often should I check my vehicle's fluid levels?

Here are our recommendations regarding frequency of checking your vehicle’s fluid levels:
(1) Oil – Check every 8,000 kilometres.
(2) Windshield Wiper Fluid – Check every month. If it is less than ¼ full, top it off.
(3) Brake Fluid - Check fluid levels based on the owner manual, or at least once a year.
(4) Coolant – It is recommended to change the coolant every three years. Coolant helps ensure that your engine does not overheat when you are driving. You can easily check this by checking under the hood.
(5) Transmission Fluid – Check at least once a year. This fluid should be clear pink. If you notice any darkness in its colour, it should be changed.
(6) Battery fluid – Check the colour of your battery’s fluid to ensure that it is still in good condition. Most batteries have a condition indicator that changes colour based on fluid quality - Blue/Green - good, Red - add distilled water, White - needs to be changed.

How often should I change my air filter?

You should change your air filter every 20,000 km or once a year. If you are driving mostly on gravel or dusty roads, we recommend that you change it more often.

When should I replace my vehicle battery?

The battery can be worn down as early as three years so we recommend that you have it checked after 3 years.

What should I consider when buying a battery?

When buying a battery, here are some things that you should consider - battery size, cold cranking amps (CCA), and reserve capacity. The battery size should have the best fit for the physical dimensions of your vehicle. CCA is critical for good cranking ability. Reserve capacity helps to power your vehicle’s electrical system in case your alternator fails.

When should I get a tire rotation?

Tires should be rotated at least every 8,000 km or every six months to ensure that all tires wear evenly and last longer.

How much air pressure should I put into my tires?

The recommended tire pressure is usually marked on a sticker inside the driver’s door. If there is no sticker on the driver’s door, you can find the specs in the owner’s manual. Most cars have 32 to 35 psi in the tires when cold.

My check engine light is on. Is it safe to drive?

If the check engine light is on, check if the car is driving any differently from normal. If nothing seems out of the ordinary, you may continue driving; however, have your engine checked as soon as possible.

Certified Service technicians have been through a series of training to ensure that they deliver the highest quality of service to our customers.

When should I have vehicle maintenance performed?

We recommend that vehicle maintenance be performed on your vehicle at least every after six months or every 8,000 km mileage.

Can I get a written estimate/quote for my service?

Yes, we can provide a written estimate/quote for any service. Please let us know, and we will gladly prepare it for you.

How long will the repair take?

The length of time for repair depends on the status of the works to be performed on the vehicle. Before we do the repair or maintenance, we will give you an estimated time.

What is the warranty on your car parts?

Ford and Motorcraft parts are covered against any defects in material or workmanship for 24 months and/ or unlimited distance (whichever occurs first). Select parts such as engines, transmissions, shocks, struts, and batteries have even longer time and/or distance coverages.

Can I drop off my vehicle for repair when you are closed?

Yes, you may drop off your vehicle and leave the keys in our key drop-off box located in front of our service drive-through.

How soon can the auto glass job be completed?

We need at least three days’ notice before we can complete the auto glass job. Since we only use OEM glass, we need time to order the glass.

How long will my auto glass repair or replacement take?

Auto glass repair usually takes 30 minutes to complete, while auto glass replacement takes an hour. We recommend that you allow several hours for the glass to dry before driving.

What is OEM glass?

OEM glass stands for original equipment manufacturer glass. It is fabricated by the same manufacturer that produced the original glass the automaker installed in your vehicle. It has a special automaker branding on it.

How soon can I drive my vehicle after glass is replaced?

You can drive your car several hours after the glass has been replaced. We recommend that you drop off your vehicle in the morning and pick it up in late afternoon.

Do you do rock chip repair?

Yes, we do rock chip repair.

What is SGI-accredited?

SGI-accredited means that we have passed all the requirements of SGI’s certification, and our facilities meet or exceed the highest standards required by SGI to operate as a service shop.

Will you replace the stickers on my windshield?

If possible, we will replace the stickers on your windshield.

Do you offer mobile auto glass service?

No, we do not offer mobile auto glass service. To make sure that you get the quality service, we do the glass repair and replacement at our dealership where our sophisticated tools are readily available.

What can you not do after windshield replacement?

After windshield replacement, do not put your vehicle through a high pressure car wash for a minimum of two days (48 hours). The water pressure against a new installation may displace the mouldings. You need to allow the windshield, adhesive and mouldings the full 48 hours to become set and dry.

Do you offer a guarantee on your work?

Yes, we offer the Royal Service Price guarantee on our work. Our technicians perform a professional inspection and accurate diagnosis of your vehicle, and we give you an exact price before any work is done. Once you approve our quote, we do the repairs. Once completed, we charge you what we have quoted. If the repairs take less time than estimated, we bill you the actual time. If the repairs take longer than estimated, we bill what we have quoted, guaranteed.

Do you accept auto insurance?

Yes, we accept auto insurance. When you book your appointment for service, we get the insurance details so we can readily coordinate with the insurance agency regarding the work that will be performed on your vehicle.

Does Royal Ford inspect the vehicles before selling them?

Certified Pre-Owned vehicles all underwent inspection prior to selling. Wholesale used cars, however, are being sold as traded.

Warranties FAQ


Does Royal Ford offer any warranties or protections?

Yes, we offer warranties or protections to give you security and peace of mind. The following are some of the protection plans that we offer - windshield protection, paintless dent repair, road hazard, key replacement, credit disability insurance, lease care, and credit life insurance. We are happy to discuss each of these protection plans with you during the vehicle-buying process.

How long is factory warranty?

Each new Ford vehicle is covered, including the 12-volt battery, for 3 years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first. The tires have a separate warranty. The powertrain in a new Ford is also covered for 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes, we offer our own warranty on Royal Certified Used Vehicles. You can choose from a 30-day or 2,500 km powertrain warranty or 30-day comprehensive 50/50 warranty.
