Drive 4 UR Community Returns to Support the Yorkton Terriers
Royal Ford is excited to host our second Drive 4 UR Community event in Yorkton, and this time we're proud to support our hometown hockey team, the Yorkton Terriers!
Join us on Wednesday, July 29, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. here at Royal Ford Parking Lot for a day of community spirit, great vehicles, and an opportunity to give back. For every valid test drive, Ford of Canada will donate $30 to the Yorkton Terriers, with a goal of 200 test drives, that's up to $6,000 in support of our local team! Please note that one valid test drive per household is eligible for the donation.
We're also hosting a BBQ by donation, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the Yorkton Terriers. Bring your family and friends, enjoy a delicious lunch, and help us make an even bigger impact for local hockey.
Our first Drive 4 UR Community event was an incredible success thanks to the amazing support of Yorkton residents, and we're looking forward to building on that momentum. Whether you're shopping for a new vehicle or simply want to support a great local cause, every test drive counts.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on June 27 for our Learn & Drive Event at Royal Ford! It was an incredible day filled with great vehicles, family fun, and community spirit, and we couldn't have asked for a better way to kick off the summer.
Guests had the opportunity to explore the latest Ford lineup, experience new features and technology, and take their favourite models for a test drive. We loved seeing so many familiar and new faces enjoying everything the day had to offer.
A special thank you goes out to everyone who supported our BBQ by donation in support of the Extravadance Performance Group. Your generosity will make a meaningful difference for this amazing local organization, and we're grateful for everyone who contributed.
The kids had a blast in the bouncy castle, families enjoyed spending time together, and the positive energy throughout the day reminded us what makes our community so special.

Yorkton Drives Together to Support Local Firefighters
Our Drive 4UR Community event on June 13 was a success, bringing together community members, Ford enthusiasts, and local supporters for a day that made a real difference.
Thanks to the incredible participation from our community, we completed 75 test drives, raising $2,250 for the Yorkton Professional Firefighters. In addition, our BBQ by donation raised another $370, making the total community support even more impactful. Every test drive and every donation helped contribute to this meaningful cause, demonstrating the power of coming together to support the people who work tirelessly to keep our community safe.
It was great to see so many people stop by to explore the latest Ford vehicles, connect with our team, enjoy a delicious BBQ, and take part in an event that gave back to such an important local organization. The energy and community spirit throughout the day made it a memorable event for everyone involved.
We extend our sincere thanks to everyone who participated, as well as our staff, volunteers, and the Yorkton Firefighters for helping make the event such a success. Your support helped turn a day of test drives and community fun into meaningful support for those who serve our community.

This year, we are shifting gears for a greater cause, and we need your help!
Instead of our annual "We Scare Hunger" campaign, Royal Ford is proud to be part of Ford's World's Largest Food Drive, a global initiative with an ambitious goal of collecting 1 million pounds of food around the world!
Happening on September 15 to 25, this worldwide event gives us the opportunity to make an even bigger impact right here in Yorkton.

WE SCARE HUNGER 2024 - October 28 to November 1, 2024
Royal Auto Group, in collaboration with local schools - including St. Michael's School, M.C. Knoll School, St. Paul's School, Yorkdale Central School, St. Alphonsus School, Columbia School, St. Mary's School, Dr. Brass School, Yorkton Nursery School Co-operative, Sacred Heart High School, and Yorkton Regional High School - is continuing the annual "We Scare Hunger" Food Drive.
This year, our goal is to collect at least 2,000 lbs of non-perishable food items.
From October 28th (Monday) to November 1st (Friday), we invite you to drop off your non-perishable food donations at any participating school, as well as at Royal Ford or Royal Honda. Every donation will support THE SOUP HAVEN, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing nutritious lunches to over 250 local school children each day.
Your contributions will make a significant difference in our community! Together, we can truly "scare hunger" away!
44th Annual Terry Fox Run in Yorkton
What a beautiful day it was on Sunday, September 15th for the 44th Annual Terry Fox Run in Yorkton! We are so grateful to the Yorkton Jamaican Community for joining us once again to serve up delicious BBQ for our participants. Your support added so much warmth and flavor to the day!
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that, thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, Yorkton raised a remarkable $6,707.80 for the Terry Fox Foundation--surpassing our initial goal of $5,000! This achievement reflects the unwavering spirit and commitment of everyone involved.
A heartfelt thank you to all who participated, donated, and volunteered. Together, we are making a significant impact in the fight against cancer. Your support truly makes a difference! Let's keep the momentum going for next year!
Fire Up for Terry Fox - 2nd Annual Mustang Showcase and BBQ Fundraiser
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2nd Annual Fire Up for Terry Fox - Mustang Showcase & BBQ Fundraiser last Saturday, September 14, 2024. It was a fantastic day filled with incredible Mustangs, great food, and a strong sense of community.
A special shoutout to our judges, Carey Gleason, Jason Popowich, and Yorkton City Councillor Quinn Haider, for their support and expertise.

Community Appreciation Day - Yorkton Aquabatix Fundraiser
Our Community Appreciation Day on August 17, 2024 was a tremendous success. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our fundraising event for the Aquabatix Artistic Swimming Club Yorkton. Your participation made a huge difference, and we couldn't have done it without you! We raised $1,700 from carwash, BBQ, mini donuts, cotton candy, hair tinsels and glitter tattoo. A big congratulations to Brian and Karen Thiessen for winning the Masterbuilt Digital Electric Smoker!
Yorkton Aquabatix is an artistic swimming club. Artistic swimming (formally known as synchronized swimming) is a hybrid form of swimming, gymnastics, and dance. Swimmers perform a synchronized routine of dynamic underwater and above water movements accompanied to music. It is a strenuous and skillful sport! They have programs for all age groups. Starting with little aquasquirts (for age 4-7), recreation program, competitive program and adult/ masters program. They swim on Sunday, Monday and Friday.
Fundraising goes to help pay for pool and lifeguard fees and to upgrade equipment in hopes of keeping costs affordable for participants. Their swimmers have received top placements in the limited competitive category and hope to continue to place as some move up full competitive this year (they will compete in more competitions).

2023 Yorkton Terry Fox Run
The annual Terry Fox Run in Yorkton was held on Sunday, September 17, 2023 to help raise funds for cancer research. There were approximately 85 participants and we raised $4,065 from both online and in-person donations as well as t-shirt sales. Thank you to everyone who came out and donated! Thank you also to all the volunteers who helped make the event run smoothly. See you all again next year!

What an AMAZING day! We had 40+ Mustangs come out to Fire Up for Terry Fox today, September 16th! Thank you to everyone who participated in the Mustang Showcase and donated to our BBQ Fundraiser for the Terry Fox Foundation. We raised a total of $900 because of all of you!

Earth Electrified Event
On Saturday, April 22, 2023, our first ever Earth Day - Earth Electrified event - took place!
The main objective of this event was to celebrate Earth Day with a BBQ Fundraiser for Sask Abilities Yorkton. We also had the opportunity to give our customers the riveting experience of an electric vehicle with having our in-stock electric vehicles available for test drives. The EVs we had available were the Ford Mustang Mach-E Premium, Ford Mustang Mach-E GT, and a Ford Escape Plug-in Hybrid.
The result? Royal Ford was able to raise over $300 for Sask Abilities Yorkton! Thank you to all of you for your contributions.
Royal Ford Yorkton would like to express our gratitude to Randy Goulden, Yorkton City Councillor for gracing us with her presence on behalf of City Council and bringing greetings to the event. Goulden gave a powerful message and emphasized the importance of being environmentally conscious.
We would also like to thank our EV customers Greg Hall, Saskatchewan's first Ford Mach-E owner and Kelly Kim Rea, Ford Escape Plug-In Hybrid owner for attending and sharing their experiences with their electric vehicles. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the stories and knowledge that they shared.

2022 "WE SCARE HUNGER" Food Drive - Another Huge Success
Royal Auto Group's "We Scare Hunger" campaign was another huge success! We were able to exceed our total from last year by having three times the amount of food items this year. The total amount of non-perishable food items that were donated added up to 2278 kilograms, which is equivalent to 5011 pounds! This wouldn't have been possible without the support of the 10 participating schools - St. Michael's School, St. Paul's School, Yorkdale Central School, St. Alphonsus School, Columbia School, St. Mary's School, Dr. Brass School, Yorkton Nursery School Co-operative, Sacred Heart High School and Yorkton Regional High School!
The "We Scare Hunger" campaign is an annual food drive initiated by Ford of Canada. However, because of the pandemic, this program was discontinued in 2020. Royal Auto Group has continued this event once again this year by asking all of the schools in Yorkton to participate. After the schools confirmed their participation, boxes for the food items were dropped off at each participating school and placed at both dealerships. The campaign began on October 24th and ran until October 31st, 2022.
On November 1st and 2nd, Royal Auto Group staff picked up the boxes at each of the respective schools and brought them back to the dealership. Yorkton Nursery School Co-operative joined our campaign again this year and dropped off several boxes of food items at Royal Ford!
Transport Ltd for making the delivery to The Soup Haven a smooth process by donating at 15 ft U-Haul for the food items!
We are truly grateful and overwhelmed with the amount of food donations the participating schools collected this year! Their efforts and commitment to the campaign did not go unnoticed and we cannot thank them enough.

Royal Auto Group Supported the Terry Fox Run 2022
Royal Ford supported the annual community Terry Fox Run in Yorkton held on Sunday, September 18, 2022 to help raise funds for cancer research. The goal was to raise $2,000 and we were overwhelmed that we were able to fundraise more than that! Total amount gathered was $2,250! 78 people participated in the run, and including the volunteers, we had around 90+ people in attendance. Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this event for a cause! We look forward to doing this again next year.

Royal Auto Group Donated $25,000 for Yorkton Brick Mill's Project
The Ortynsky Family and Royal Auto Group proudly support the restoration of the Yorkton Brick Mill. On November 24, 2021, Terry and Linda presented the $25,000 cheque donation to help fund the construction of The Interpretative Station. This station will house displays and educational materials, archival documents and meeting spaces to make the mill a gathering place that welcomes visitors and residents, and tells the story of more than 125 years of Yorkton's and our region's history.
With the business being situated in Yorkton for years, this is Royal Auto Group's way of giving back to the community.

Royal Auto Group's "We Scare Hunger" Food Drive turned out to be a huge success. This year, over 650 kilograms of non-perishable food items were donated, and this was made possible with the support of the schools in Yorkton.
"We Scare Hunger" is an annual food drive initiated by Ford of Canada. However, because of the pandemic, this program was discontinued last year. Dealer Principal Terry Ortynsky shared the idea of organizing this event once again, and Jane Jalmanzar from our Marketing Team reached out to the elementary schools in Yorkton. Five schools - St. Michael's, St. Paul's, St. Alphonsus, Yorkdale Central and Columbia School - immediately confirmed their participation. Collection boxes were placed at both Royal Ford and Royal Honda and the respective schools from October 25 to 29. The Yorkton Nursery School Co-operative, upon learning about the food drive, joined in and brought several boxes of food donations to Royal Ford.
"It was really heartwarming to see the kids, parents and teachers all participating. Everybody wanted to contribute to a worthwhile cause. The children really learned how to help so it was great," says Terry.
The food donations were presented to the local food bank, The Soup Haven, on Tuesday, November 9. Marilyn Dyck, Program Director of The Soup Haven said that the donations will be used for their lunch program that feeds over 250 school children a day.
Royal Auto Group looks forward to supporting this event again next year.
